Synopsis
In the 2023 Taiwanese film Lost in Perfection, written and directed by Golden Horse Award-winning director Sung Shin-young, Shao Yu-wei stars as Huang Li-mei, the head anchor of a news station. She discovers that her father (Lee Tin-chu), who has been single for many years, is dating a mysterious middle-aged woman, Ho Sau Lan (Lin Mei-xiu), who not only specializes in cooking, but also in health care massages, and who has made marriage a prerequisite for their relationship. Curious and worried, Huang Limei begins to investigate the background of Ho Sau Lan and discovers that her previous fiancées all committed suicide and transferred all their property to her before their deaths. This chain of events is full of suspicion, leading Wong Lap-mi to question Ho Sau-lan's motives. Is there a fraud or a darker conspiracy involved?
