## Episode Description
The movie "Liaozhai: Lanruo Temple (2025)" is based on the classic story of "Liaozhai Zhiqi", which is a Chinese classic novel, with a new chapter structure, exquisitely restoring the mysterious and fantastic world of the classical spirits. The story centers around a young scholar, Pu Songling, who is forced to stay overnight in a deserted temple, Lanruo Temple, after a dangerous journey, only to accidentally fall into a deep ancient well.

At the bottom of an ancient well, Pu Songling is trapped by a toad spirit and a turtle spirit. In order to compete for the title of "King of Storytellers", the two monsters decide to compete in storytelling and force Pu Songling to score and judge their stories. Thus, in this mysterious and treacherous space, a series of bizarre stories that transcend life and death and are rich in imagination unfold one after another.

The whole movie is run through by the main line "Tales from the Well", and adapts five popular Liaozhai masterpieces: "Taoist in Laoshan" - a metaphysical saga about monasticism and dueling; "Princess Lotus" - a tender lament depicting the love between human and demon; "Nie Xiaoqian --Nie Xiaoqian" - reproduces the classic human-ghost love story; "Painted Skin" - reveals that it is difficult to distinguish between the human heart and demons; "Lu Gongnu" - shows the family legend that intertwines loyalty and righteousness with the supernatural. The six chapters are very different in style, combining horror, love, humor and philosophy.

With a diversified narrative approach, coupled with a combination of animation and live-action presentation, the directing team presents a visual and emotional fantasy feast for the audience. Whether it's a tribute to the culture of Liaozhai or an exploration of the ethics of the demon world, Liaozhai: Orchid Temple shows a new level of Chinese fantasy movie.
