The story is set in 1970, when a communist militant group in Japan hijacks a civilian airliner and forcibly reroutes it to Pyongyang, North Korea. The incident sends shockwaves through international politics, and South Korea's Central Intelligence Minister, Park Sang-hyun, is quick to launch a covert counter-attack. He secretly plans a dramatic "second hijacking" operation, code-named "Good News," to safely guide the plane to the South.
In this crisis full of suspense, a spy with a mysterious identity and code name "A" becomes the key figure in the operation. He is ordered to intervene covertly and steer the course of the whole incident. However, perhaps the biggest casualty of this game is Air Force Lieutenant Seo Ko-myung (played by Yoo Seung-bum), an elite military man who is unknowingly pushed to the forefront of the battle. He must outwit the militants in mid-flight while working with ground operations to complete an extremely complex and dangerous "double hijacking" plan.
