The movie is based on the ancient legend "Zhou Zhi removes the three evils", giving modern meaning to the traditional story and digging deep into the complexity of human nature and the vagaries of destiny, outlining a tense jianghu legend for the audience.
During his long flight, Chen Guilin lost the most important relatives in his life and was devastated. After learning by chance that he had less than three months to live, he originally planned to turn himself in to put an end to his life of crime. However, when he sees that he is only ranked third on the most wanted list, the humiliation of being ignored awakens his desire for survival and dignity. He decides to follow the example of the ancient Zhou Chu and solve the three major scourges in the jianghu, leaving a sensational legend for himself in the world.
In order to find a higher-ranked wanted criminal, Chen Guilin obtains clues through the mysterious underground doctor Zhang Guiqing (Xie Qiong Nun) and finds the trail of the second most wanted criminal "Aberdeen" (Yuen Fu Wah) and the top of the list "Niu Tau". In the process of tracking and confronting them, he falls deeper into the darkness and begins to reflect on the cycle of karma brought about by the three poisons of greed, anger and dementia.
